It’s worth noting that all 36mm Day-Date models with Roman numerals on the Rolex website now use this new style, indicating that the new version has fully replaced the previous design.

Another highlight is the first-time use of a mother-of-pearl dial on the Day-Date 40. The new ref. 228239 in platinum features a mother-of-pearl dial with 10 diamond hour markers. In addition to the platinum case, the new Day-Date 40 models in yellow gold, Everose gold, and platinum also offer the mother-of-pearl dial option.

Whether in 36mm or 40mm, all Rolex Day-Date watches are now equipped with the latest generation 32-series automatic movements. These movements offer a 70-hour power reserve and are certified by the Superlative Chronometer standard, with a daily accuracy of +2/-2 seconds.
